Dead Silence: A Zombie Survival Epic

16/02/10 – CHAPTER 5 UP

Well bluddy hell its been AAAAAAAAAAAAAGES since I updated lol, almost 2 months!!! Well between Xmas/New Years, starting back to work, my computer going down on me, changes in my personal life I didnt really feel up to doing much with this. But things have settled down a bit now so I guess I have more time to work on this now. But to be honest my motivation came from a colleague who started reading this recently, and wanted me to throw a little more at it, so….here it is!!! Oh, and THANKS DELANE!!! lol.

Anyway, back to the story, this one is a little shorter (and yet STILL took an hour and a half……..failboat) and yes it is a little slower, but I have some interesting ideas and storylines, I’ve decided to give James/Jimmy his own little storyline instead of just focusing on Erica, so dont worry it’ll be worth is if it goes how I picture it. only thing is I’ve got quite a few characters I’m wanting to follow……..may prove difficult in the future but we’ll see how it goes.

22/12/09 – CHAPTER 4 UP

Well that didnt actually go too badly!! I started writing up chapter 4 after reading some notes and ideas I had written down last month. As you can probably tell from the beginning of the chapter, i had difficulty getting back into the swing of it, but it got a little easier the further i got into it. The funny thing is once I got started I couldnt stop, and before I knew it BAM 3000 words lol. So I ended up splitting what I had into 3 parts, so YAY I’ve already got 2 chapters for updating later!. Will need to jump back to the other characters first, so I reckon the two I have ready will be chapters 5 and 7 or 6 and 8, something along those lines. For anyone who might be reading, I dont do ANY editing on these chapters AT ALL. Theyre pure drafts, I wont be editing at all until well down the track. All I’ve done is a very quick spell check and a little grammar if I manage to spot it. Give feedback, or not lol, regardless, enjoy!

Well as with most things going on with me, life got in the way XD. Family, work etc and very quickly this blog took a back seat to everything else. Working late tonight and checking email and found that HEY! More than one person has taken a look lol. So I thought I would do a little update and see if I can add another chapter. Cant make any promises and to be quite honest I’ve left it so long that I’ve forgotten what I actually wanted to do with it .

Doesnt sound too promising really, but anywho, I’ll throw something up and see tonight and see how it pans out, fingers crossed!

YAY! Finally getting used to wordpress and the features, and fairly happy with the layout and setup. Took forever to get the chapters linked and set up how I wanted them to be, but I think its coming along quite nicely! Huge thanks and appreciation to my first reader Jeff R, thankyou so much for taking the time to read and comment. JeffR has a great little blog called the Anti-Ignorance Blog, which you can visit via the links. Still not 100% sure if I’m getting hits or not, or whether its because I havnt set something up correctly, but for the moment I’m not too worried. Once I have a few more chapters added then I’ll start trying to get it out there.

Well I’m fully new to this whole blogging thing, and definitely new to writing fiction. Just finished the first chapter, I know its a little long winded and doesn’t really have much to do with zombies (yet!) but I’m trying to set the scene and get the history out of the way. The next few chapters (if I keep this up) should be more interesting. One thing I’ve learned is that writing your own stuff is HARD! I can honestly say I’ve got new respect for guys n gals that have their own blogs and fic.

All I have to do now is figure out how to get this blog thing known, I’ll be working on that right now lol.

So to anyone who does manage to find this, please please PLEASE give a little feedback, it is my first time so I’m a fic-virgin, but positive and critical feedback all welcome
